Yes , Giorgetto & Fabrizio have worked magic on the Corvette. Proving again they, can take the icon of american sports cars to a whole new level. The "Moray" is built on the current Corvette production chassis. Creating what our staff at MSC sees as the most interesting body for a Corvette ever. The amazing point here is that again ITAL has created this concept car in just a couple of months! The creative ability of ITALDESIGN to do what takes other companies years to accomplish, Giorgetto & Fabrizio do with a wave of the hand.
After winning the award for the best concept car in 2002, at the NAIAS show for the Alfa Romeo concept project. Giorgetto & Fabrizio will present at Geneva's 2003 Motor Show.....the Moray. This sure to be the star of this years Geneva Motor Show, and Motorsports Center readers get it first!!

Below is the official press release from ITALDESIGN
The Moray project, which will be presented for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show on March 4, 2003, embodies the homage that Giorgetto and Fabrizio Giugiaro wish to pay to the fifty-year era of the Chevrolet Corvette, the supreme symbol of the American sports car.
Realized without hesitation on Corvette mechanics and chassis, the outcome of seeking out a sports car designed as an elegant extreme leaps into the limelight carrying a pure profile, designed as though touched by drifting tides with long and slender front lights, bringing immediately to the mind the Moray, the English term for the eel-type fish, muraema helena, found in Mediterranean waters.
