Ducati Marlboro Team today received a specially commissioned trophy in honour of the Italian manufacturer’s first ever race win in the MotoGP World Championship. In a ceremony attended by many of the paddock’s leading figures, the award was presented to Loris Capirossi and Corrado Cecchinelli in recognition of the historic win.
The award was presented by Dr Wolfgang Warnecke and Cara Bradley of Shell Advance. Dr Warnecke leads a team of dedicated motorcycle oil engineers who are constantly developing the oils and fuels supplied to the Ducati Marlboro Team. The technology Shell Advance develops for the race oils is then directly transferred to the road product range, benefiting bikers all over the world.
Corrado Cecchinelli, Ducati Marlboro Team technical director, commented: “We are very pleased to have such a reliable bike thanks in part to the consistency of the support we receive from our partner Shell Advance. We hope to be able to use the experience of the first win to go on and win many more races together with Shell Advance.” © Copyright 2001 by YourSITE.com |
