Fisker Coachbuild Announces Details on First Vehicle

Fisker Coachbuild is well on its way to a worldwide debut in Frankfurt this September. It was just announced that the first vehicle will be a convertible – an excellent first vehicle choice for a California based company – powered by a 610 horsepower V8. This two-seater is projected to have a top speed in excess of 200mph; a drop-top supercar sounds like quite an explosive way to get your business started.

Headed by Henrik Fisker and Bernhard Koehler, Fisker Coachbuild is a new limited production automotive entity which promises to bring a modern automobile, crafted in an environment evoking the old European design houses, and artistically conceived by the brilliant mind responsible for the lines of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, and largely responsible for the Aston Martin DB9 and BMW Z8 designs (we’re talking about Henrik here, people).

Excellent quality from design to materials to fit and finish should be assured, as at least three of the key players in this company are sourced from Aston Martin. In addition to Fisker and Koehler, the company now touts a Cristina Cheever as its Vice President of Marketing and Communications. Cristina was a key P.R. personnel for Aston Martin before making the jump to Fisker Coachbuild. The motor car will be engineered by talent sourced in Europe.

With a Danish man, who has experience designing German and British cars, penning this drop-top while the Southern California sun shines down on his drawing board, we may expect something more attractive and decidedly more European and yet also American than Aston Martin’s bulky Zagato-designed American Roadster. We fully expect this to be the next big thing.
