This years Pebble Beach saw both Cadillac and Mercedes Benz celebrate major historical anniversary milestones. Now as we exit the first century of the automotive age, we can look at the benefits to modern culture. From both automotive technology & design bestowed on the world. This year again Pebble Beach is worlds stage to spotlight each step these aspects of Cadillac and Mercedes Benz. Also this year the Fiat's muscle car of the 1950's, the Supersonic  V8's, long considered one of the most under apperciated gems of design and performance.

Now we move on to the Fiat V8 Supersonic's.  At the time the Fiat V8 program represented a effort to compete with Alfa,Ferrari, Maserati other muscle car concepts of the 1950's. While trying upstage other coachwork designs of the time. Our younger readers need to keep in mind that in the 1950's Fiat was locked in a battle against companies that today Fiat now owns! The Supersonics represent what could be considered the best original Fiat concept of the post war period.

As is often the case at Pebble Beach, lighting has great deal to do with the mood of photos taken druing the event. Unlike the Pebble Beach's 50th Anniversary in 2000, where the quality of light added a sparkle to everything photographed. This years "morning" weather was heavy overcast and difficult to manage.
